Saturday Afternoon
Oct. 03

Dress as a Pirate - Harvest Days - Chili Cook-Off

Dress up as a pirate , ride our pirate ship hay wagon to the pumpkin patch to hunt for golden treasurs. Roast marshmallows on the campfire and enjoy fun and games at the village.

Third Annual Chili Cook-Off Train
The competition is fierce among our volunteers, and our passengers will decide who makes the best chili and will receive the Chili King Award.

Chili Cook Off Leaves station at 1:00pm and returns at 3:00pm
Saturday Evening

Old Fashion Barn Dance - We don't have a barn, but we can dance to great bluegrass music at the village. Weather permitting we will serve a cowboy supper with lots of good eating. If it rains, we will serve dinner on the train.

    Come take a ride back in time on the St. Louis Iron Mountain & Southern Railway.  Relax in one of our two 1925 coach cars or our 1950's streamliner pulled by a"Pennsylvania Diesel #5898" E8 built in 1950.  Let the sights and sounds of the historic "Iron Mountain" line spirit you away to the glory of the passenger train era.

    The St. Louis Iron Mountain & Southern Railway, the region's only full size passenger train, has become a "must" for rail fans and those too young to remember the adventure that accompanied train travel.

    Whether you have a couple of hours or a day to take in the other attractions of Southeast Missouri, you will enjoy the stories of Jesse James, Bonnie and Clyde, Hobo History, and the pioneering spirit that made the Iron Mountain one of America's great railroads!
